Promoter Microarray

Bio-microarray has designed an optimized promoter methylation microarray. Based on the ChIP-on-chip method, the position analysis of human DNA methylation binding proteins is performed using ChIP-validated probes on the chip. Promoters are an important part of expression vectors because they control the binding of RNA polymerase to DNA. RNA polymerase transcribes DNA into mRNA and finally translates it into a functional protein. Therefore, the promoter region controls the expression time and location of the gene of interest in the organism. More and more studies have shown that there is a reverse interaction mechanism between promoter methylation and gene expression activity. Studies have found that up to 3% to 6% of cytosines in the human genome are methylated, and methylation has become an important factor affecting gene expression. Many current studies have shown that abnormal methylation of CpG islands in the promoter region of tumor suppressor genes leads to a variety of tumors.

Our promoter microarrays include but are not limited to humans and mice. Our human promoter microarray is specially designed for the location analysis of human DNA binding protein sites. This microarray targets approximately 21,000 of the most specific human genes represented by RefSeq at different resolutions. The mouse promoter microarray is validated using ChIP-on-chip technology and is designed for the location analysis of mouse DNA-binding proteins, with probes targeting approximately 19,000 genes.
